About Rita R. Jacobs
With more than fourteen years experience, Rita R. Jacobs, a Fiduciary Officer, focuses much of her time working with Executors, Administrators, Trustees and Guardians in the administration of estates and trusts. She works with financial institutions, federal, state and local government agencies, realtors, insurance companies and vendors throughout the administration process.
With almost twelve years of experience, Rita brings compassion and understanding to individuals and families facing a variety of difficult elder law challenges. She advocates on clients’ behalf, helps them with residence options and bill paying, and coordinates services with healthcare and other professionals. Rita works closely with nursing homes, independent, assisted living and memory impaired facilities to ensure a smooth transition from home for clients.
Rita possesses extensive knowledge of the Medicaid regulations, helping clients through the application process to obtain eligibility for their loved one.
Ms. Jacobs graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies from Roger Williams University, magna cum laude, a member of Alpha Chi Honor Society, and the Community College of Rhode Island with an Associate in Science in Business with highest honors, a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. While earning her degrees, Rita interned in the trust department of The Washington Trust Company and with the law firm of Kenyon and Aukerman.
Ms. Jacobs also acts as Business Manager for the law firm.
